Privacy

Math Blocks is a free game for kids. It is built to collect as little as possible: no accounts, no email, no passwords, no ads, no third-party trackers.

Your world stays in your browser

Your world, your saved worlds, your settings and your learning progress are stored in your own browser (its local storage). We cannot see them. Clearing the site's data erases them, and they do not follow you to another computer.

Playing together

When you join a room, the room's server keeps the room's world (its seed and the blocks people changed), the display name you typed, and your learning-progress numbers, filed under a random token your browser made up. You never have to type a name: a fun one is rolled for you. Anyone who knows a room's three pictures can join it. Rooms are hosted on Cloudflare in the same place as this site.

Anonymous usage counts

So we can tell whether the game works, it sends counts: a game was started, a maths quest was finished, an error happened, that sort of thing, together with the game's version. A count holds no name, no identifier, no location and nothing about your world. If something breaks, the error message goes along so we can fix it.

You can turn this off: open the โš™ settings menu, then Game โ†’ Send anonymous usage counts. A browser that announces Global Privacy Control is treated as off.

Tell us

What you type in the game's Tell us box is sent to us with the game version. The "how to reach you" field is optional; leave it blank if you would rather not.

Hosting

The site and its rooms run on Cloudflare. Like every website's host, Cloudflare's network sees your connection's address in order to serve you; see their privacy policy. We do not store it.

Children

The game is made for children and asks them for nothing personal. If you think something personal reached us by mistake, say so through the game's Tell us box and we will remove it.
